MALALUBA GUMANA (Born 1954 – February 2020) sadly passed away earlier this year while still at the height of her creative powers. This exhibition is a tribute to her extraordinary life as one of the leading Yolgnu artists of her generation. Seven monumental works are in the exhibition in the front room at Annandale Galleries. Her close friend with whom she shared country, Gunybi Ganambarr is exhibiting in the big room.

The exhibition is both a fitting tribute and a celebration of her life as an artist. These are the last monumental works executed by the artist and marks the last time new work will be seen in a commercial gallery. The works are an extraordinary legacy.
